Bachelor of Commerce
I began with a B.Com at Delhi University, spreadsheets, markets, the logic of how things work. It taught me structure, but
something was missing.
Hi, I'm Shaivy, a product designer who loves turning messy, ambiguous problems into experiences that feel surprisingly simple.
I blend research, systems thinking and business strategy to uncover what users actually need, not just what they ask for. I care about one thing: creating experiences that genuinely improve people's lives.
Outside work, you'll usually find me creating digital art, experimenting in the kitchen, or sketching ideas that spark my curiosity. Lately, I've been obsessed with exploring what's possible with AI, not just using the latest tools, but asking myself, "What's the next real problem I can solve?" Most of my side projects begin with that question.

I began with a B.Com at Delhi University, spreadsheets, markets, the logic of how things work. It taught me structure, but
something was missing.
I followed the pull toward making things and joined an ad agency, designing 500+ creatives for international brands. Typography, layout and visual systems became my first real craft.
Alongside work I trained formally at Glasgow Caledonian University: a Professional Diploma in UI Design in 2021, then a Professional Certificate in 2022. That's where visual instinct
turned into interface thinking.
Three years across ChefKart, FreshPrints and Nutrabay, moving from screens to journeys: field research, funnels, design systems and shipping to millions of users.
With the practice in place, I came to Kingston University to deepen the theory behind it, research methods, interaction design and human-AI interaction.
I ground every decision in user research. Understanding human behaviour isn't a phase of the process for me, it's the lens I design through, start to finish.
I never stop at the bare minimum. I go above and beyond to deliver the best version of the work, and honestly, that's the part that gives me a kick.
A growth mindset keeps me learning, new tools, new tech, new perspectives. Curiosity is what stops good work from getting comfortable.
Design, for me, is care made visible. If it doesn't make someone's day a little easier or kinder, I haven't finished yet.
I love finding new trails, getting outdoors, and seeing somewhere from a different perspective.
I've always had a soft spot for stray animals, and empathy for them makes me want to help whenever I can.
Something about slowing down and getting the details just right keeps me coming back to it, and it also influences how I think about design.
I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, trying new recipes, and occasionally making something that actually works.
Hiking teaches me patience, calligraphy teaches me care, and volunteering with stray animals keeps my empathy sharp- the same empathy I bring to every user I design for. It's all one thread: notice people, give back, keep growing.
I love making things just for the joy of it. From drawing portraits and posters in Procreate to practising calligraphy, it's how I slow down, play with ideas, and stay connected to the creative side of myself.

"Growth isn't a phase.
It's a way of showing up"
I treat every project and every day as a chance to learn something I didn't know yesterday. Stay curious, stay kind, and always leave the work better than you found it.
If any of this resonates, I'd love to chat about a role, a project, or just design over coffee.
